Question I am using a MasterPage in my project... This this the link i need to place inside my ContentPlaceHolder of my Dedault.aspx page <link href="jquery/imagebox/imagebox.css" rel="stylesheet" /> But i get a error "Element link cannot be nested within element td" Any idea what to do? Answer1 You can only place stylesheet links in the header of the document. Here's a link how to do that from a ContentPlaceholder: http://www.odetocode.com/articles/450.aspx Quote: Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, _ ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Dim cssLink As New HtmlLink() cssLink.Href = "~

How to find user control of an ASP.NET page inside of event of another user control on that ASP.NET page EDIT: different content placeholders?

Question I have a ASP.NET page with 2 user controls registered. The first one has only one button in it. The second one is simple text and hidden on default. What I want is to make the second one visible when the button in the first one is clicked (that is on button click event). ASP.NET page: <%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" CodeFile="test.aspx.cs" Inherits="test" %> <%@ Register Src="~/UC_button.ascx" TagName="button" TagPrefix="UC" %> <%@ Register Src="~/UC_text.ascx" TagName="text" TagPrefix="UC" %> <asp:Content ID="Content1" ContentPlaceHolderID="MyTestContent" Runat="Server"> <UC:button

ASP.NET: Having common Page title in master page with each page adding page-specific title?

Question My master page looks like: <head runat="server"> <title> <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="PageTitlePlaceHolder" runat="server" /> </title> Content pages look like: <asp:Content ID="TitleContent1" ContentPlaceHolderID="PageTitlePlaceHolder" runat="Server"> My Page </asp:Content> This works by placing the content page specific title on the page ("My Page" in this example). Now I want to add a global prefix to the title in my master page for the site name. So I want: <head runat="server"> <title> Example.com: <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="PageTitlePlaceHolder" runat="server" /> </title> However

Using iFrames In ASP.NET

Question I have an asp.net website with a master-page, can I use the iframe so my .aspx pages will load inside the iframes. (Meaning it wont load the master-page) Kinda like my iframe will be the contentplaceholder or maybe the contentplaceholder will be inside it? Any Ideas? Answer1 try this <iframe name="myIframe" id="myIframe" width="400px" height="400px" runat="server"></iframe> Expose this iframe in the master page's codebehind: public HtmlControl iframe { get { return this.myIframe; } } Add the MasterType directive for the content page to strongly typed Master Page. <%@ Page Language="C#

Why can't I use a ContentPlaceholder inside HTML attributes in ASP.NET?

Question I'm using ASP.NET MVC2 and C#, but this question applies to ASP.NET in general. This breaks: <body id="<asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="BodyID' runat="server" />"> Intellisense underlines the body tag and the opening quote immediately after id=, and complains: Validation (HTML 4.01): Element 'body' is missing the '>' character from its start tag. The asp element is ignored, and the id attribute is empty in the rendered HTML. (Same problem whether I use double or single quotes inside the ASP element, tho the latter breaks syntax hilighting in VS.) This works (assuming I set the session

How to programmatically add stuff to contentPlaceHolder?

Question I have a master page and all of my pages are inheriting it. For formatting, I thought to place the content that differs from one page to another in a ContentPlaceHolder. Now, how can I insert everything into that? Since I am planning to populate the ContentPlaceHolder with stuff from a database I suppose I will have to do it programmatically. How can I add controls to ContentPlace Holder? I checked other answers, but I cannot access it by its ID. Should I use multiple ContentPlaceHolders from the beginning? Let's say I want to put movies. Should there be only one with all the images

How to replace text in a PowerPoint (.ppt) document?

Question What solutions are there? I know only solutions for replacing Bookmarks in Word (.doc) files with Apache POI? Are there also possibilities to change images, layouts, text-styles in .doc and .ppt documents? I think about replacement of areas in Word and PowerPoint documents for bulk processing. Platform: MS-Office 2003 Answer1 What are your platform limitations? Obviously Apache POI will get you at least part of the way there. Microsoft's own COM API's are fairly powerful and are documented here. I would recommend using them if a) you are not running in a server (many users
